I was goin to pick up some lumber today, truck was runnin strong ( except egts lmao 17xx) nothing abnormal... stopped to get a bite to eat, when I left I ran it up to 80 and couldnt get it to lock up. tried everything short of a match and some beer I hate to go to dodge for parts but i need that fixed sometime SOON otherwise id go back to suncoast. well i think its the converter.... put in a new lockup solenoid and still nothing. Guys at suncoast are awesome and gonna hook me up.... Well i look at the good part... I have a converter lockup switch now guess I'll get to use it towards the end of the week.

Before doing that put a lockup switch on it and check to see if that will work. Then you will know if its the solenoid or something else.

It could be the TC, it could be the solenoid. The solenoid is easier to change as you don't have to drop the trans.

Ok new converter in and its all good..... I changed the solenoid first hoping it was it but no luck. I also replaced the input shaft seal... lots of work for a 5 dollar piece and still no luck. new converter did it. In case someone encounters this again also have the dealer plug it up and see if the tranny temp sensor is workin. So alot of bein pissed, driving a honda element 180 miles, dropped the tranny twice.... and the prob is solved!!!
