its $1500 for a STOCK rebuild there fella. price goes up with converter, billet shafts, and race or Street VB. i sure wouldnt buy an ATS tranny or anything from ATS for that matter. i have his full billet tranny and converter and trust me i didnt pay $1500. if you have any questions about the tranny you can ask me anything

This guy does good work and cares, uses a mix of quality stock and performance parts for the need. He will not over sell high dollar parts like most places. Too much mis-information about what will and will not make a good trans. Call and find out what he has to say. Dodge tf 47 and 48 a great trans, like posted before some under cooling capacity and most don't use as designed, (i.e. 40,000 trailer over the pass no regular maintenance ect) all are easy fixes.

I just built mine in my garage last month and was in it 4500. I installed all billet shafts, BD valve body, Hughes clutches and steels, allison ugraded governor solenoid, and a BD triple disc converter. Its insane the amount of difference just the converter alone makes with these transmissions. Everybody that calls them junk are the ones that abuse them, and with that note ANY transmission will not last very long. Granted Chevy and Ford has a little better STOCK transmission, but once you build the 48RE its a monster. Best transmission for you drag racers and sled pullers hands down. I have been drag racing mopar for 20 years, and the 727 has held up in every car. Theres a reason its been around so long
