Default 2003 Ram 3500

OK so you guys were wonderful with helping me when it came to a 6.5liter chevy issue so i was wondering if i could reach out for some more help. I just bought a 3500 ram and it came with a magna flow muffler i have since added a k and n cold air intake and a edge power chip. my question is is it better to run the magna flow or run it stright piped. a buddy of miune has his stright piped and he is telling me to do so to mine what does everyone think. thanks ahead of time for your time

I love the sound of mine with a 5" Magnaflow into my 6" stacks. Went the straight pipe route for 3 years while running hotshot and let me tell you.....FREAKING LOUD!! I swear my brain was still rattling hours after I would come home from a run. Ran an MBRP exhaust and loved the quiet(er) sound of it then went with the magnaflow and stacks now that I have a regular job and have never looked back.

Some guys really like the straight pipe, for me a flow through muffler is as loud as I want it, especially when I am towing.

No performance difference whatsoever. I prefer the muffler, but only because it drones less on the highway. Just remember, whatever you do, you gotta live with it a while. One 1000 mile road trip seems like 3000 miles when you have to listen to a stupid exhaust the whole time.
