Headlights Dropping or Cutting Out!

Headlights Dropping or Cutting Out!
Recently the headlights have started cutting out or blinking off and right back on in my '06. It is very fast at it, but still if you don't blink your eye lid you can see it. I couldn't find any posts about anyone else's truck doing it. There is no code for it and nothing has been done to any wiring on the head lights. They both do it at the same time. Since the head lights are wired separately between left and right, I would think it would be in the TIPM. Any one got any ideas?

There doesn't seem to be a pattern to it. I have seen it do it as often as every minute or two and other times only once during a trip. Doesn't seem to be associated with bumps or anything like temps or what ever.
I haven't had my grid heater hooked up in about two years so I'm sure the dimming I was used to seeing is not this. No, this is an instantaneous off and right back on. It is only off for a fraction of a second, but it doesn't dim or anything. Just instant off and right back on.
Of course it is just out of warranty.... Figures!!
I did have one thought hit me: I put in PIAA bulbs about the time this started (Give or take. One of those things I didn't realize or pay attention to!). I would have swore the package stated they were very similar in wattage to OEM specs. I think I will look into this a little more. Course I could just make my own poor man's Bright Bulb mod with some relays. Maybe if I put a capacitor on the switch wire it could 'carry over' long enough to keep my lights on during these very short outages..... (Unless they decide to get longer! )

Hmm.... Well, so much for my theory of the bulbs being too high of wattage. I haven't had time to find / check the package yet, but if memory serves they were really close to OEM levels.
Seems kind of odd doesn't it. I still think it is the TIPM. I will have to keep an eye out for another in the salvage yard and see if I can grab one to try / have for a spare.
