Ive got a G56, so it sounds like the $$$ one. Damn. Well, auto zone price matches, is there a web site for rock auto?

Yea, looks like I will need the expencive one. Looks to me like they changed it when they went to the G56. Oh well, I get the pricey stuff.

I got the cheap one at Oreilly's. 20.99 BWD CS829. Works great.

I had the opposite issue yesterday. The key worked as far as turning on the accessories and such but the engine was "dead". Well I bump started it and it ran down the hill but no throttle. As soon as I pushed the clutch in it died. Sat for a minute and it's worked fine since. Any relation as far as the ignition is concerned? I looked around here and couldn't find a thread on it. (but I am short on time AND lazy ) Any help or ideas would be of great help, thanks.

Sounds to be a similar situation. I am thinking that the problem would be in the circuit to part of the ecm and that it was not seeing a reference voltage from the apps circuit or something along those lines part time electrical issues like that are hard to pinpoint sometimes. but does sound like the ingnition switch.
