Tranny slipping...

at those speeds i would think it's an issue with 3rd gear slipping because most converters don't reach lock up until about 40-45 mph. a little trick you can try: get it to slip again and just apply some slight pressure on the brake pedal. torque converter clutch systems are designed to unlock the very second the brake pedal is applied. if the slipping doesn't go away then you'll know it's not the TCC that's causing it. you have to make sure to keep your speed the same though so like i said, just enough pressure to send the unlock signal to the ecm.

You could also try hooking up aloaded trailer and take it up to 60 mph and with the tranny locked try and accelerate. this will be a good indication if the converter is slipping. I tow a 14000 lb goose almost every day and my tranny doesn't slip when converter is locked. I have 106000 miles on it and a DP predator chip(100hp).
