Angry 06 dodge rough idle

Truck started running rough stick on transmission was bouncing all over the place. Took it in found that the wireing harness under valve cover had two wires that had rubbed together! The control wire and the power wire that runs to top of injector had rubbed together and taken insulation off. Took out to injectors so I replaced nozzles with stage 2 on all injectors replaced 2 injector top sections due to not opening up all the way. Added Fass fuel system, changed head bolts. Put it back together still idles rough, checked compression on motor checked out ok. Does anybody have any ideals on what the problem might be?

Your injection pump is likely on it's way out. Get a fuel pressure gauge on there and get it scanned for codes.

Cheers

No.

Does it smooth out above idle, or under a load? What is your rail pressure looking like?

Rail pressure is in spec. Took it to dealership today they didnt want to really mess with it said it had to much high performance parts on it. Diesel tech that looked at it said that number 3 and 6 cylinder where not reading right on the scanner and that it came up with a code ECM electrical problem. Every place I take it to thats not a dodge dealership tell me they dont have the software to read or reprogram the ECM. That it hasent been released yet. The only thing I really have on it is the Banks 6 gun with PDA.

Its not that it hasn't been released, its that its an arm and a leg and a ********. The StarScan is what you have to use on the 06 and newer trucks, and right now, new, I think that they go for around $8500. Pretty spendy piece of equipment. Wish I had the coin to go get one, I am still waiting to find a DRB for less than 3k!

Is your truck storing any codes? Do you know how to check for codes? If not here goes....you turn the key from off to on position three times without starting the engine. You have to do this fairly quick with the 06's for some reason. Once you are on the thrid cycle leave the key in the on position. In your odo window you will see something like PO2149 or the like. There may be a couple or just one. If there aren't any then the word done will appear and then it will go back to your odo numbers. Post the codes here if you see any and then we could help a little more. Also, I would take the Banks off for now while try to see what's going on.
