Im thinking about buying one. As for the homemade part Im sure it is possible. You would just have to figure out what size and kind of tubing they use. Where would you get the fittings and such though? If you figure it out let me know. It sounds promising.

It's not really fun blowing stuff up when 26,000lbs of fuel pressure is to blame
I would think if you use the correct parts it shouldnt be a problem

Waste of money for what it does... Nothing! The only way fuel would escape the rail in the first place is if you blow the pressure relief valve on the rail itself. It doesn't help with rail pressure drop or recovery time that is limited to the stock cp3 itself, it can only flow so much before the rail drains from the demand of the tuning. Save your pennies for a better mod

Oh and as to building your own no... It's been talked about and nobody could source the right tubing or fittings let alone the ability to correctly crimp the stuff. And trust me you'll want more than 30,000 psi burst rating anyways!

i believe the parker flex line they use for the dual feed is rated for 50,000 psi.

you can find them from a dstibutor, there is one in stafford tx i know of.
