Ok I would like to add another question. What is a puller to pull the gear off with because Im not sure I have one. Can it be done gently by hand or do I absolutely need that part to keep from damaging or ruining something?

I wouldn't try to do it any other way than using the puller. the gear fits on the tapered shaft of the CP3. there is no keyway between the 2 so the nut basically wedges the gear to the shaft.
It would suck either breaking the gear or ruining the CP3 because you didn't use the puller.

haha

Yes mostly any auto parts store will let you rent their tools for free. They are $$$ as the fan remover tool is over $100 I believe but you get 100% of your money back when you return it.
