i have a 2003 dodge 3500 5.9 cummins. whenever i turn my programmer up over 100 hp i have a bad popping noise and sputtering at a high rpm under full throttle. it shoots out fast sputters of black when it's goin on and it's only when im full throttle speeding up quickly. if im on the highway and run it on up t0 3000rpm and am at full throttle im fine. i have already installed a bd diesel fuel pump (stock bypass) and that didnt fix the problem. i know these stock fuel systems are supposed to support up to 600 hp. so i dont see why mine does this. i adjusted the valves last week so they are all right. i have 190,000 miles on stock injectors, could that be an issue too? im getting a chettering noise that i dont hear when driving any other cummins. i ran my truck with my compter hooked up and at full throttle i maintain between 20,300 and 21,599 psi rail pressure and i know bad injectors will make it lower

 

Believe your taxing the CP3 pump. Need a meaner fuel pump.
