03 cummins wont start
I have taken my truck to lots of shops and had lots of parts replaced and it still wont start. it will push start, start with starting fluid, or get this when u replace the fuel filter? (once) After it starts it runs great, lots of power not much smoke and gets good mileage. any sugestions.

i would say ur lift pump is going or ur getting ready to need injectors i have an 03 cummins with 133,000 miles it cranked like heck changed fuel filter fired up and ran good u could bump start it it would start and run good then it got worse had to give it a little shot of either fired up ran good people said if u tack it up quick and leave off throttle the rpms will hang their for a second it didnt do that. ran it a little while longer then the rpms stayed up there took it to the shop and they said i need injectors.

I was wanting to try that injector test where u cap each line and try to start it, I was reading about it on here. if anyone knows how to get some detailed instructions on how to do that let me know. I'm no machanic but it didn't seem that hard and I'm tired of paying people to not fix my truck.

Talking Capping A Fuel Rail
To cap a fuel rail on a CR you need a 19mm wrench, a tap, and a set screw. (not sure on the size of the tap or set screw)
Here is the pressure relief valve and banjo bolt on a 06 in the truck
Here is the pressure relief valve on a 05 out of the truck
Here is the banjo bolt
Remove out the banjo bolt
Tap the banjo bolt
Put set screw in the banjo bolt
Reinstall banjo bolt
Now your relief valve can blow off but no pressure can get out. **CAUTION** Doing this can cause harm to the fuel system. This relief was installed by Chrysler for a reason, keep that in mind.
