03 cummins wont start
I have taken my truck to lots of shops and had lots of parts replaced and it still wont start. it will push start, start with starting fluid, or get this when u replace the fuel filter? (once) After it starts it runs great, lots of power not much smoke and gets good mileage. any sugestions.

---AutoMerged DoublePost--- I was wanting to try that injector test where u cap each line and try to start it, I was reading about it on here. if anyone knows how to get some detailed instructions on how to do that let me know. I'm no machanic but it didn't seem that hard and I'm tired of paying people to not fix my truck. |

(not sure on the size of the tap or set screw) Here is the pressure relief valve and banjo bolt on a 06 in the truck Here is the pressure relief valve on a 05 out of the truck Here is the banjo bolt Remove out the banjo bolt Tap the banjo bolt Put set screw in the banjo bolt Reinstall banjo bolt Now your relief valve can blow off but no pressure can get out. **CAUTION** Doing this can cause harm to the fuel system. This relief was installed by Chrysler for a reason, keep that in mind. ---AutoMerged DoublePost--- woops i coppied and pasted thought the pics would come up. search this form ( capping a fuel rail) its very easy to do takes 5 minutes ---AutoMerged DoublePost--- if ur pressure relif valve poped that would probally help it |
thanks, I also read about how u can unhook each fuel line one at a time and cap it somehow, once one is capped then you try to start it. if it doesn't start u move to the next one then if u cap one and it starts that's your bad injector? does that sound right?
