me and my wife(especially{?}) feel very safe in my truck and its an 04.5 HO. i am very glad that i bought my truck, wasn't real crazy about the 4 door, but i am loving it now with a kid. i never hit anything, and don't plan to, but i feel that it would take something else just as big or bigger to hurt it. the driving, it drives better then one would think. i have no problems throwing it around when i need to. never ever felt like it was gonna loose control, and thats with 35x12.5r17!! i wouldn't worry about all that side air bag stuff, it would prolly mess you up more then it does good. and who needs "stability control", don't drive as fast around turns.... if you ever want to take a spin, i am not to far away....

what!?!?! Drivin a stick in a diesel is easy as crap you really need to learn, thats the best feeling in the world rowing thru the gear box

 

yea i hear that, i hate driving an automatic, i was nervious at first with my truck (never driving a manual diesel), but i picked it up real fast and i love it!!!! i will teach you stick in 10 mins flat, my wife learned, took her a little longer, but she got it, kinda

 

after owning a chevy gasser 5spd, and then my 04.5 CTD 6spd... a diesel is ALOT easier to drive than a gasser... my gf was worried about killing it... i was like you CANNOT, i mean CANNNNNOOOOTTT kill it.... well obviously if you start off in like 3rd... you can start off without even having to hit the gas...

as far as safety.... i feel very safe in my 04.5!!

It handles alot better....

It stops alot better...

And it GOES alot better...
