Default Dilemma; Turbo or power adders

First, a bit of history...

1). My truck would tow ANYTHING I put behind it from the factory.(Ignorance is bliss on the no guage thing... factory bastards should include guages.. WHO IS WITH ME?!!! )

2). I've messed around with several of the "Budget Performance Modifications" without spending big $$. BTW, Big $$ to me is ANYTHING over, say... $1k)

3). My truck isn't a Track/Dyno Queen, However, it often sits under the carport, with a Truck cover on it...

4). My original intent was to stick with the STOCK Turbo AND injectors, while somehow getting as close as I can to 500 Rear Wheel Horsepower... The reason being I wouldn't suffer much driveability issues when I pulled everything back to stock...

Now we get to my dilemma.

I can run Smarty Revo TNT Lvl 7 on the Dyno for 458HP and 1005 TQ

I can run Smarty Revo TNT Lvl 5 at the track, provided I turn a "Blind Eye" to EGT's, which peak at 1500+ F by the end of the 1/4 mile run...

Since EGT seems to be my problem, I'm not interested in ANYTHING but AIR. Kinda leaves out Sticks...)

I could go with Water Meth...

I could go with Nitrous...

I could go with a larger charger...

I could continue my "Sum of the Small Parts Theory", and get an Exhaust manifold... OK, Who am I kiddin', I'm going to do this anyway...

I guess my DILEMMA is N2O, WATER METH, Or a little bit larger charger...

I'm thinking something in the Silver 62 ballpark..

OK.

This is where you all come in to help me decide.

Should I stick with my original drivability plans, or launch into the larger turbo world?

Thanks in advance... And either way, I expect to do write ups along the way...

If the heat was under control, the plans ahead would be WIDE OPEN!!

AND for the record I DID race a couple times (Albeit, unsuccessfully in MY book.. )

I am not diametrically opposed to pulling this truck, or racing it... and as far as competition goes, If I decide to compete, (For whatever reason) I want to compete successfully at my level (Whatever that is) and still be able to do the things I do now with the truck...(Besides letting it sit under the carport with a truck cover on it... )

TONY...

YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY NO FAWKING HELP!

Moderators, BAN HIM!!

DAMNIT!!

Deep breath... ONE.... TWO...THREE...

You are right.

I HATE this!

Ima get a sign and stand on the corner for MODIFICATION money!!!

I can't possibly be the first to think of this!!

This post is RIGHT IN LINE with my thinking...

Ummm...

I could use some MONEY to PRODUCE the necessary air as well!

Alms for the poor?

If I go to the bigger charger, will I always be running something other than stock programming to fuel it?

Will my truck become "One of those kids with Their pants down below their ***", as far as performance goes? They don't run too fast, until they hitch up...

I think we ALL know that isn't acceptable...

WAIT!! are you willing to gimme your earnings, too?

TONY!!

Stick to the topic.. even if I drift.. a little....

seriously, my wallet is on the "sum of the parts" program... But my HEART is on the PART that will SUM this up!!

Just looking for some advice to calm down. relax, deal with what is dealt advice...

OR!!

Some Go BIG, or Go HOME, DEAL with what is REAL, Etc.

I KNOW people have made CLOSE to 500 HP with an 2007 CR 5.9L without changing chargers or sticks... I'm just wondering what the price was...(Assuming Heat)

But then again, i'm not really looking for performance at JUST the Dyno...

It would be nice to haul *** down the 1/4 mile... or a FULL PULL or two...

I Ramble...

getting 500 or close with a 3rd gen is possible, but how far your willing to push the turbo and egts is u to you. 500hp can be done more efficiently and more reliable with a bigger turbo
