Hey guys, I ordered my new turbo and i was wondering if there was a break in period? if there is could you give me details about it? its a HTT 64, comes in this 3/4/09. just gotta wait till the wife goes to work so i can put it on. (yes i hide this type of stuff from her.) hahah

i'd ease around for 500 miles or so at under 15psi or so. then wail on her..... i couldn't resist when i installed mine though and did a 25psi boosted launch infront of the shop with the only drive time of pulling it out of the shop, and lining it up on the road. mine has a little shaft play now, less than 10K miles on it, but it has been rode hard and put up wet....

 

 

oh ya. it is best to change your oil when installing the new turbo. be sure to get a small funnel that will fit in the oil feed to the turbo and pour about a quart of oil through the turbo before you try to crank the truck. spin the turbo fins while the oil is being poured through the oil inlet to lube the bearings and all in the turbo.
