Default 30000km with no second gear

i have a 2005 dodge 3500 cummings,it has a flatdeck and i use it for work. with a 48re automatic tranny. only 131000 km on it, biggest peice of crap. I've had no 2nd gear for 9 months or 30 000km and it hasn't got any worse. I just hold it pinned in first gear and shift it manually into overdrive and it goes straight into 3rd gear. I pull my 7000 pound travel trailer often. I pull 20 foot tantems all the time and it still hasn't got any worse. Its funny i just laugh at my stupid dodge. Shoulda bought a duramax!!

Sounds like you fried second or it's just the governor control?? Have you even taken it in for a diagnostic? Second gear takes the brunt of hard take offs with heavy loads!
Sorry you got a problem now just fix it! But If you want it gone I'l trade my Geo Metro
35mpg! Close enough to a duramax.

Default front band adjustment

Check you front band adjustment. I just had the same problem with my 06 cummins, secong gear didnt exist. A quick adjustement of the front band and the truck runs better then it did when i bought it.
