Exclamation News Story On Cracked Dashes

I found this on another site and thought it would be beneficial for some of you.
It appears a news station is trying to get help for the cracking dashes in our trucks.

You can put carpet on the dash to prevent cracking also you know.

Up here we have a problem with alot of vehicles in the cold.

-40C is too cold for the plastic used in vehicles/

i've pulled more GM dashes than i ever cared too and i can tell what i learned after replacing the dash in my truck.

the plastic in the didges is A LOT thinner than what GM uses and it doesn't near as much bracing to hold it together either. my opinion is these dashes are just a house of cards and it's only a matter of time. dodge should do something, IMO, because it's a combination of a half-assed design and cheap materials that's the root of the issue.
