Default Any difference in the 06/07 motors or tranny on the 5.9L

I'm looking to buy an 06 Ram 2500 with the 5.9. Nice set up and great running truck. I was just wondering if there was a difference with the 07's.

If you're asking if the 07's with the 5.9 are different from the 06's with the 5.9 the answer is no. The left over 5.9's were put in the early 07's then the 6.7's came out.

Wasn't there a difference in the early '06 engines and the late '06 engines? Possibly a small difference in hp and tq?

What tranny is in the 07 with the 5.9 motor. What type of mods should be done with that.

The 600 motors were in the 04.5's and 610 motors were in the 05-07's, I believe....

I don't believe there were any power differnces but there were some subtle changes....something in the tranny and something that won't allow the '06.5+ to run the TST...

48RE behind all the 5.9's.

TC, VB or shift kit to start. Billet shafts and more pieces depending on how much power you want to put hru it.

Default Bolt up 6.7 trans to a 5.9

Is it possible to bolt up a Dodge 6.7 trans to a 5.9 engine?
I have heard bad things about the 48RE trans and want a fix.
I will wait until my trans bombs before I do the fix. Don't want to waste the money.
There is a kit to bolt up an Allison to a Cummins. I have bookmarked the page for later use.
Any info would be great
