Default Best place to read fuel pressure?

It's time for a fuel pressure gauge and I've been reading old threads, seen a lot of good info. What's the best place to read fuel pressure where I'll be able to monitor the lift pump performance? Is that the main thing we need to watch on our trucks is lift pump output? I'm talking basically stock here, no heavy bombs.

06 Diesel, I like that setup you have, seen pictures of a few other ones done like that.
Thanks.

Default if you still have the rubber hose...

You can insert a tee between the filter housing and come off it to a fuel pressure isolator diaphram. Don't run a wet line into the cab... I'm really not concerned that it will be a fire hazard... it just smells the cab up really bad for some reason... hmmm. diesel...

I have mine at the CP3 the same way that 06 has his. This way, I know what kind of FP my CP3 is reading.
