Default Idle Stalling

I've a little problem folks. 1. I'm new to Cummins coming from 7.3's and 6.9's, and know nothing about the 5.9 CRD. 2. (The problem) My newly acquired 2004.5 cummins will not idle in park without stalling within 30 seconds. Put it in gear and it won't stall, back to park and it stalls. Everything seems to be running well otherwise. Starts right up, won't stall while driving, at a stop light, lots of power, no hesitation, etc. WHAT"S WRONG. I've noticed 2 things though. It's giving me the P2509 code and the fuel filter is quite noisy (does it have a pump in it?). Is the truck stalling as a safety feature for low fuel pressure or something else.

P2509. CM/PCM Power Input Signal Intermittant.

Bad ground?

Sounds like to me the something with the Torque Converter not unlocking check where the PCM grounds at that might fix your problem if the Power Train Control Module isnt operating right its probably causing your stalling problem

Thanks for the reply's.
I don't think it is the TC. When I take it out of drive and into park all is normal, it waits 10-20 seconds then shuts down. After disconnecting the battery the P2509 code is still there but it didn't shut down in park this time. I should say shut down, not stall, it is more accurate of a description (just as if I turned the key off). Where is the PCM ground?

can you read fuel pressure it seems like it might be the fuel control actuator just put one on a 04 cummins last week it was idle stalling in park
