I put up a post last week about installing Quadzilla's Max Mileage Module on my truck. I need help understanding some stuff. The first time I started the truck after putting the module in the engine was idling rough, missing, and pouring out bluish gray smoke. Never had any rough idle or smoke other than black under load. (36K miles) I shut it down, checked the connections on the MAP and rail, took off and reconnected, restarted, and everything's good. O.k, I had a loose connection. Put about 1500 miles on it last week, ran fine but sometimes when I stopped, shut it down, came back 45 min. to an hour later and restarted, the same thing happened with the rough idle; no smoke though. It would clear up after a minute or so. Is the module doing something to me or have I picked up some water in the fuel somewhere? I had to buy fuel on the road from at least one questionable place. Running PS gray with MM oil for fuel treatment though. Also drained some fuel from the filter just to check and no water there. Best tank of fuel figured by hand, not the overhead, was 600 miles at 21.4 MPG. Any suggestions welcome.

 

you proved once it was a bad connection.........I would bet there again

pull each connector apart and give em a good dose of electrical contac cleaner then a shot of that connection goop stuff
