Cold start issues 03 5.9, infrequently hesitant starts sounds like batteries are weak but they're not. Plug in block heater and will fire right up. Has thrown code P0514 battery temp sensor but if outside air temp is above 50 will start with no issues... weird that it'll start when block heater is plugged in...confusing.
