Question **** 48re's

Tired of trannysNew to the site , i have a 05 cummins i use for personal and work so its had bad days and be ready for alot of post from me in the future you guys . So my tranny has been out for about a year because the cooler went out and mixed with the coolimg system . And when i finally put it in the shop i told them more i want it built more heavy-duty than stock but i dont need flashy **** put on it i pull some **** sometimes hardly ever tho but i want it to get it when i do tow . And ivd had it out of shop maby two months now so my question is If i had a bully dog gt tune and i uninstalled the programming because i didnt like having it , and a day later (today) my tranny shfted pretty late and slipped once , and i checked the fluid level and its on the bend of the dipstick "witch is quite over full . Would the weird shifting be from having the tranny shop over filling tranny or uninstalled programmer ? And one other question ,(laugh all you want ) but are these 48re 4 speed because i just started paying attention and would like to know if so

Yes, the 48re is a 4 speed trans. Who did your trans work? Doesn't sound like quality work. Uninstalling a programmer should not cause shifting issues. I have an 06 CDT with the 48re and never had shifting issues with an uninstall.

Okay then its definatly the workmanship of the tranny shop , i can say i dont know what im doing on transmissions but it kills me enough not doing it myself letalone that i dont know if im getting the upgrades i paid for when its already shifting like trash. , but a update. Sense last post, i had the rear diff pop the sensor out somehow and throw oil out for a whole day of driving. The cp3 and forsure injector (s) took a **** morning

OH good Lord!!! Sounds like things are definitely going south with your rig. Im sorry to hear about your misfortune(s). Maybe its time for a newer or new truck OR a hefty repair bill(s). Either way its a tough pill to swallow.
