DPS Twin towing kit install/review
#11
I am pretty much looking for the same thing as you were, being able to tow without staring at my egt's all the time. I already rebuilt my transmission and replaced my injectors so my truck is pretty solid. Every time I step on the pedal with much of a load the egts skyrocket. So I have the dps kit sitting on my bench ready to go on. The only thing I am afraid of is screaming turbo noise when I am pulling a car trailer up the pass. I hope this kit is as good to me as yours has been to you!
When you do the swap, take the passenger wheel and inner fender liner off - I was able to stand in the fender opening, makes the job 10x easier.

The turbo whistle is definitely noticeable, always there when you modulate the throttle, but not annoyingly loud. I always listen to an audiobook using a bluetooth/aux integration to the truck radio during long hauls and have no problem hearing the radio over road/truck noise. to be honest, I actually like hearing the low 2-tone turbo noises. Not annoying at all (at least to me)
