i'll buy a switch tomorrow and see if that's it

 

ok lets try something else should i be able to turn my front dif. drive shaft when not in four wheel drive or no?
my 91 dodge W250 ctd when the hubs were unlocked and in 2 wheel you could, my 06 i can't turn the front drive shaft

 

switch is on order

 

There are no hubs on an 06 to unlock the shafts. The axle is live all the time so the DS won't turn if both wheels are on the ground.

 

put a new 4X4 switch in today... same thing

 

Ok so i'm in my truck on the phone talking key is off and nothing is on and i hear the the servo for the four wheel drive engaging or disengaging started the truck let it run a few secs and turn it off again and then it did it again weird or what

 

Im stumped...........

 

Is there a relay for the servo unit?

 

ok trucks fixed if you run in it to this start with part no.48-306 cardon transfer case motor drivers side of transfer case 3 bolts one elec,plug i bought the TIPM and still same thing, put this on problem gone 160. - 260. auto zone 160.. lifetime warranty
thanks for all your in put oh i took the old 4x4 switch apart not much at all in there to go bad this is why i say start on the transfer case motor.... TIPM at autozone 420. hard to get dorman is the only one that has after market also lifetime warranty
