Variable geometry Turbo
Is it possible to put a variable geometry turbo in a 5.9 L cummins? If so what would it take or if there's better ideas out there let me know. Thanks in advance!

It can be done. Expensive part is the controller. For performance, there are better and in the end, cheeper, cleaner options. For engine braking, same applies.
