were to jack(on my engine)
Well i got my new oil pan today, it's made of thicker gauge steel than i thought so iam going to take dangerous's advise and treat it as soon as my por 15 gets here, but i am going to have some oil on standby incase it dosn't go as planned. Now in front of the oil pan is a flat spot on the block with a hole cast into it, if i were to turn down a steel bung and weld on a peice of heavy tubing about 12" long and place that on a floor jack would that be a safe place to lift the driver side of the engine, I don't want to try an lift the hole thing with the engine hoist because i don't see a place to hook the chain to the driver side of the motor with out possibly screwing up the fuel filter and stuff. Question 2 my lovely wife got me some bush wacker fender flares for chrismas because my tires stick out to far for a pa inspection, but the hit the cummins emblem. how are they on the fender? i don't wanna mess up the paint or the emblem.

Is this a 4x4? If not just use a 4x4 about 18" with a concave on the end to put on the Harmonic balancer and jack up till you can't any more! Remember to remove the tranny mount bolts too! Fan shroud also and keep an eye on anything that may touch.
#2 Your gonna have to remove the emblem and remount or leave off!
