Default Intermittent power loss

My truck sat for a week and when I came back once in a while when I get on the throttle either from starts or rolling starts my truck feels like it's not got any power? It's an 03 with 88k miles and has a smarty programmer. I did try changing it to stock and it still does it.

first thing i would check would be water in the fuel filter or even a clogged filter. then look at the trans for low fluid/burnt fluid. my 06 at for a long time and the trans filter stopped up the first time i drove it.

Ok I drained water from the fuel filter tonight when I got home. It didn't make a difference.

So I cannot narrow this down at all. Should I go ahead and look at replacing the fuel pump or the injector pump?

I threw double the amount of diesel kleen in it and ran the **** out of it. Everything is fine now. So it must have been some water or funk left in it from a bad filter.
