Intermittent power loss

My truck sat for a week and when I came back once in a while when I get on the throttle either from starts or rolling starts my truck feels like it's not got any power? It's an 03 with 88k miles and has a smarty programmer. I did try changing it to stock and it still does it.

manual or auto?

Auto also the lift pump is original

first thing i would check would be water in the fuel filter or even a clogged filter. then look at the trans for low fluid/burnt fluid. my 06 at for a long time and the trans filter stopped up the first time i drove it.

Ok I drained water from the fuel filter tonight when I got home. It didn't make a difference.

So I cannot narrow this down at all. Should I go ahead and look at replacing the fuel pump or the injector pump?

I threw double the amount of diesel kleen in it and ran the piss out of it. Everything is fine now. So it must have been some water or funk left in it from a bad filter.
