I know there are a ton of threads on this already but I've tried/read everything and still no luck so here it goes before I haul the SOB to the shop.

Like an idiot, I wasn't paying any attention and let my truck get just below 1/8 of a tank. It didn't die but it was low. I parked it, came back out the next day and it turned over strong but wouldn't start.

I have put 7 gallons of fuel in it, changed the fuel filters both at the motor and the Air Dog, replaced the relay for the Air Dog and tried priming the system several times using the key and letting it self prime. After bumping the starter I don't hear my lift pump running but I never recall hearing it run before.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Pull the supply line to the CP3 and see what you get with key crank. I've run dry several times and just put fuel in and it started. With the key on you should hear the pump check the voltage to the pump. Did you fill the filters when replaced?

 

Wow! Ya know I have always heard of this being the case but never knew anyone it happened to! Sorry to say at your expense but I learned a valuable lesson here and will not go that low on fuel anymore. Recall even seeing single digits on the Lie-O-Meter and saying I can make it another few miles for the right priced diesel station!
