Default 2004.5 died now wont start no codes

yesterday i started my truck pulled forward about 20 feet then my truck died and wont start back up the only code i am getting is a p1757 im assuming that being a solenoid in the tranny has nothing to do with this not starting problem i have cleaned all the battery connections and am going to make sure the batteries are fully charged tomorrow it seems like its not getting fuel but i just changed the fuel filter and i would think the fuel pump would throw a code if it were bad any suggestions are appreciated

I am having relatively the same issue, Could be your lift pump or injection pump. Also most mechanical failures don't set the accurate codes if any on these cummins set ups.

i was thinking fuel pump but im not sure wasnt any signs of it going, no loss of performance or stuttering.Im not sure about this pump on my old gasser when the pump went i was able to bump the tank and get it going again as a temporary fix, the night before it happened i did accidentally leave the key on for a few hours maybe the subs sucked the batteries down? I hope its not the pump but at this point im starting to think it is

A quick way to tell is put a pan under the drain hose for the filter resevoir, open the drain and remove the fuel filter. Leave it open and and turn the key on, if the housing fills with diesel your lift pump is good, if it doesn't I'd start there.

before you test the injectors make sure the crossover tubes are to the correct torque spec of 37ftlb. I think sounds about right. that solved my problem after months of fighting a no start issue on an 03.
