Default Need help..Badly

I'm in urgent need of some help guys. I have an unknown problem.

Sunday at about 5:30 I had to rush my dad to the hospital. I got him there faster than anybody else could have. I tried my best, but sadly he stopped breathing about half way there. He was 45, Happened out of nowhere... At one point I had to make a turn and downshifted to 4th to slow down. I was going 70mph so I hit about 4800rpm's.

It threw a code, high fuel rail pressure. Now every now and then it sounds funny while driving. Kinda like a 12 valve. Like it has no pilot injection. So I think something in the fuel system is f**ked. But i have no idea what or where to begin. I'm only 18..My dad always helped me with this stuff..but now I have noone.. Please guys, any help at all with be greatly appreciated right now..

Sorry to hear about your father. Have a fuel pressure gauge?

Get an IR temp reader and read temps at the ex ports right after hot shutdown and then again the next day a few minutes after cold start. My WAG would be you hoofed an injector or 2, which might show up as hot ports.

Any new smoke out the exhaust?

I havent noticed any new smoke. I'll get a temp reader tomorrow and check. its got 122,xxx miles so its about time for injectors i'd say

Here are the results from the IR temp reader test

1-182*
2-202*
3-210*
4-220*
5-210*
6-180*

I would schedule a shop appointment to get the injectors flow tested.

Condolences on your dad! Check the connection on the FCA back of the CP3 Pump While running pull it off Should sound really bad then plug it back in recovery should take less then 30 seconds. Also check the pressure regulator on the fuel rail. Give Todd a call at T&C diesel Google him!
One of the Best for info on the fuel system out there.
