Hey all,

I just replaced my lift pump, cp3 pump and fuel filter. Took it to my mechanic to do the cp3 pump. I got it back and now it idles really rough. Smooths out when rpms get higher. I was driving home and noticed sometimes when I let off the pedal the rpms wont drop below 1500 until i get on the brakes and almost stop. Could it be bad injectors or dead cylinder? Maybe getting air in the line? Thanks for any help!

 

I would guess air could be getting in the lines. You can go through and check to see if all the fittings are tight.

Might have a problem with the fca on the cp3.

 

Ok I just had the cp3 replaced. Brand new right from Cummins. Think they may have used the fca off the old cp3? Also my egts get real high just driving 45 mph and when at idle they are a little over 400. Smokes a lot too
