Or, maybe just get the diamond eye and if we don't like the sound add the MBRP later. I already am probably gonna have to add the tip later. They seem to cost about the same as the kits!
It Worked for me! (See my Signature). Plus, I recently found a new stainless 5" tail pipe section on Ebay for $60 bucks shipped. I switched out the 4" tail pipe section for the 5" + new tip and welded it on, and it looks pretty cool. Looks like a 5" exhaust from the rear. No one's the wiser. I Dont know the brand of the tail pipe section but its mandrel bent and a quality piece. I couldnt beat the price. I dont remember the name of the muffler shop that listed it, but it came from Pittsburg Pennsylania. Definately a good score!

Right on. Good choice! THese systems are pretty easy to install. You can do the entire project, removing old & installing new, in about 2 hrs............ give or take a minute or so. You wont be sorry. Enjoy!

I ordered it for my son's truck. He may have it on before I get home. I don't know when that will be. So, he's not likely to wait. I know he'll be pretty excited. He wanted the MBPRP after extensive 'research' on YouTube. He and his friends drove me nuts listening to all the different exhausts, LOL.

Since the factory lasted so long, I'm hoping the aluminized lasts longer than it's two year warranty. I couldn't spend twice as much on the stainless when the truck has almost 134,000 miles on it!

Anyway, thanks to everyone for all the help.

Im glad we were able to help. Thats what I admire about this forum. Members are always willing to chime in and help. Good folks IMO. My AFE is aluminized as well (except for the 5" stainless tail pipe section and MBRP muffler) and its been on my truck since 2007. It still looks great and no issues. Cheers to you my friend.

Well, my son started tearing his old exhaust off, the day the new one arrived. But, he had some problems. Haha... He said all the clamps came off, easily. The factory downpipe came out of the turbo, easily. But, the pipes would not separate. So, he could not get the old exhaust out. My wife made him go inside after dark. Then, he had to go get a grinder to cut the pipe, so he could get it out.

Poor fellar. His truck was not drivable for a couple days until he could get back to it. I haven't talked to him, today. But, I'm sure he got it done today. That is, if he didn't go to the state cheerleading finals with his mom and sister.
