Lifting off the box?
Are these beds really that heavy that you need 3 or 4 guys to lift it? I just helped out my 72 year old neighbor do his fuel pump in a chevy 1/2 ton and we lifted it no problem.I dropped my tank for raptor install, but if I had to do it again I would lift the bed.
I'm doing this tomorrow to instal my draw straw. Planning on taking out the drivers side bolts and loosening the passenger side so I can just prop it up. Do what I have to do and lower it back down!
Thats how I did my ranger fuel pump when it went out, the long bolts of the bl helped alot though too. SOmething else is it might be easier to just take out all the bolts and slide the bed back and through a 55 gallon drum under it to keep it from tipping off.
I was thinking of rigging something in my garage to hang from the ceiling joists, I found an old pulley, and i have a $hit ton of rope.. maybe secure the rope to the 4 stake pockets and carefully lift.. I just want to make sure the bed doesnt swing and hit the cab!
