Crankcase Breather
Hey guys I just put a deal kit and power steering pump on my 2001 cummins thought that was the only thing leaking causing my oil leak. This fixed most of my problem bit I am Gavin a lot of oil drip out of my crank case breather. Anybody no how to fix this?
Evan,
No problem, i did how ever forget to ask how bad the leak was? its normal to have some blowby at times but not alot. My truck has 365k on it now and it has a very small drip...but even after 5k miles the dipstick still reads safe. If it leaks worse than that get a compression test i believe. Or keep asking around.

ive know on at least one truck i did that some weak or cracked vacuum hoses was the culprit of high pressure increasing blow by...and ive read around and found the same thing. I dont know much about this issue so i wouldnt hold much if any weight to what im saying just giving what ive learned!
good luck!

Get you a 3/4" push lock coupler and some 3/4" heater hose to the length you desire and remove the "puke" bottle. Just run the hose back down behind the front axle. This is what I did and you will never have to empty the puke bottle again.
Make sure to use the bent hose going into the puke bottle and just use your coupler there and run it down and back.
