Default To much fuel?

I just installed an air dog 200 gph on my truck and now it starts hard or not at all when its warm. I cracked four lines and even submerged the entire suction line inside of a five gallon jug thinking it may be sucking air where I cut and spliced the hose but it still wouldn't start. I finally disconnected the line where it enters the injection pump and had someone hit the starter and the truck started fine so I connected the line back up and it runs fine. So, I adjusted the regulator all the way down and it helped but it still starts hard any suggestions? I have a fuel pressure sensor, but the wire for my edge will not reach the lift pump so I can't install it right now.

i read on here that vp 44 dont like alot of fuel pressure at startup my fass came with a relay that controls it like the factory lift pump which i believe cuts out when you hit the key if yours doesnt cut out then that explains the easy start when you cracked the pump feed line

Well my airdog had a p pump spring in it so I had 35 psi at idle. I ordered the right spring and now it starts fine. Thanks!
