Hey Everyone i looked up my industrial 2002 Cummins on Cummins Quick Serve and it is in fact a standard output and not a high-output. However, I have a highout put ECM and my engine runs funny at an idle after i press the pedal. I loaded a video of its symptoms. Is this what you guys have seen when there is a high out put ecm on a standard engine without the high compression pistons, and different vp44?

 

Interesting... any codes? I know for a fact HO and SO vp44's can be swapped back and forth without side effects. I also know the compression ratios are different in the 2 and who the hell knows how the ecm's vary, I doubt anybody on here will know for sure, but the best thing I can think of is get an SO ecm.

Thanks for the help man. Only code thrown is P0341 about the cam sensor and replaced it and code doesn't go away. I might bypass harness and solder directly to the wire coming off ECM i have a diagram and I will continuity test it to make sure i have the right one. I think this could be an APPS issue also making the idle validation go from throttle to idle throttle to idle. I believe i will for sure get it re-flashed so later down the road i wont have any problems with everything matching.
