Just joined, lots of good info. I just bought a 2001 dodge 2500 4x4 cummins with 82k. It is bone stock. I bought a raptor 100gph pump, fuel pressure and trans temp auto meter gauges, and cab lights. I have not had time to put any of it in so i'm taking it to a shop. What is a good oil filter and oil to put in this truck? I dont want to go crazy on HP but want to keep up with good stuff to add to this truck is there anything else that would be good to add?

 

15w 40 rotella would be fine with a fleetguard or napa filter, i run half a gallon of lucas oil treatment too, sounds like you got most of the major things covered, maybe get a intake and exhaust

 

Is it worth while to get a K&N air filter or is it a waist?

I would go with a S&B intake or a AFE intake or you could do the BHAF just my opinions, had the k&n and didn't like it... I run 15w40 rotella oil with a K&N oil filter has a 1" nut on the bottom of the filter for tightening and loosening works good for me
