before i i did all the work to my engine i could just get in and crank it all the way down to 15 degrees, once i changed to a 20 over head gasket i have to wait for the wts light to go out at around 30 if it has been sitting all night

same as above...

When it's warm (above say 60 degrees) I just fire it up.

When it's colder, I wait for the light.

Out of curiosity... Given the way our grid heaters work, will the light come back on again if we don't crank it right away? Presumably the heater warms up and then begins to cool if you haven't pulled the trigger. How does that system work?
