You can run any filter it just need to be changed at regular intervals(around 7500). Amsoil does have a filter you can run to 15k typically in these trucks. Kinda depends on how far you want to run.

15k miles may be to much for comfort. do a lot of amsoil users go the full 15k between changes?

Many go further, honestly if you spending the premium for amsoils or schaeffers or any of the other specialty oils IMHO it would be wise to use UOAs and extend your intervals just to get your money's worth out of it.

In a near stock VP44 Cummins, (assuming everything else is in good shape) should have no problem pulling 15k oci on the cheapest fleet grade oil. With upgrade filtration and high dollar synthetics, 20-30k should be fairly easily attainable with proper monitoring.

Uoa = used oil analysis. It gives you info such as wear metals, contaminants, oil add pack and physically properties. Based on those you can determine the proper interval for your rig.

You take a small sample and send it off to a lab. Blackstone, Oil Analyizers and Schaeffer's are popular labs.
