Default Exhaust brake hard on high milage engine???

I have a 1998.5 24valve cummins. Truck in great shape with 250,000 miles on it. Recently bought a fifth wheel trailer for work and didnt feel too comfortable pulling or should I say being pushed by it down the mountain passes here in colorado. Looking into a Pac Brake set up and was wondering if it would be hard on a higher milage truck or if I simply have nothing to worry about. I would apreciate any feedback.

Just install new manifold gaskets and you shouldn't have any issues. It would improve brake performance and further reduce chance of issue if you installed upgraded valve springs and valve stem seals.
