Default what is considered high milage?

To start I am new to the forums my name is Troy, but not to diesels. I use to have an 06 duramax and am now looking into buying my first dodge diesel! My question is what is considered high miles for a CR? Ive been lurking on the forums for a while and finally decided to join, from what I have seen some members have trucks in the 200k area and are still running strong. Im sure this topic is covered almost weekly but I couldn't find a definite answer. I found an 06 mega cab with 160k on it and its priced pretty fair but the miles are what concern me, I know diesels can run for a lot longer then 160k if the basic maintenance is done. What is considered high miles for these motors?

300+ But the maintenance is the most important part! Also some years are prone to ring breakage! Like 06! So always check for blow by! Any extra filtration like 2 micron before the CP3 is a good indicator that the owner wanted his truck to last!

Thanks for the reply. The blow by check is just removing the oil cap while the motor is running, and setting it back on the oil fill hole to see if it gets blown off correct?

That's good to hear! I was hoping some one with high miles would chime in! Its going to be a few more months before I start looking for a truck only because im deployed, but im using my spare time for research and to get spun up on what to look for in a used CR.
