I just bought a 1998 24 Valve 4X4 with an automatic from a guy that was having all kinds of issues, basically it would always go into limp mode. Well I went through and rewired all of the battery cables and ran new grounds from the block to battery, and from the firewall behind the pcm to the battery and I replaced the crank position sensor and then the truck ran perfect like a whole new truck.

I took it to the car wash and washed the engine compartment and drove about 1/2 mile and the check engine light went on and it went into limp mode. I killed it disconnected the negative battery cables waited a few minutes and nothing, it cranks but doesnt start, the wait to start light flashes on and off the whole time the key is on. It seems like I am not getting fuel for some reason and i cant figure it out?

The truck has a reman vp44 injection pump, reman ecu, and an intank lift pump.
