Locks and windows acting up

Default Locks and windows acting up

My locks and window controls are on the fritz cold it be a relay? It only works half the time and I have to filled with it back and forth to get it to do that

If it works when you fiddle with it the contacts in the switch are probably corroded, have you tried disassembling and cleaning the switch?

Interweb/text messaging jargon for "I'll second that". They agree with me that it's probably the switch. Have you tried cleaning the contacts yet, did it fix the problem?

Same thing happened when I had my jeep and it wound up being the relay.

Yeah, if the relay just plugs into the fusebox it could be cheap and easy to check at least. I haven't had a problem with the windows on my Dodge, so I couldn't remember if its easy to get to the relays or not.I've seen several nonfunctional power windows fixed by cleaning the switches, and the time it didn't work, the problem was a $200.00 controller. Of course this was on my own $300.00 beater. Hopefully your problem is something simple and cheap

I'm having the same problem, my driver window will go down then not come up unless i wait like ten minutes, and my locks work when they want to. Hoping its just the switch
