Default head gasket

My 01 stared to use antifreeze last week.No external leaks, engine oil clean, trans oil clean, nothing in the heaterbox area,or comming from the various heater ducts. I put a pressure pump on the radiator, gauge would drop a bit with the engine warm. So I removed the head to find it had been off before. The gasket looked pretty good but the deck surface had pretty good indentations anywhere the steel firering contacted it.I took it whereI used to work at an engine rebuilding shop,so a total rebuild on the head has commenced, guides, all new, allnew exhaust valves, pressure test, planeing, setting valve depth arp head studs, etc. As usual I have to clean up from someone elses lack of prep or not doing it right. I do have a question,do I have to do a bleeding procesess on the injectors or just connect & run it?

If you have a strong injection pump, just bleed the fuel to it and try a few cranks that way. Otherwise just crack the lines at the head until fuel comes squirting out, then tighten them up.

so was the head o-ringed only a grove cut in the head, or was it fire ringed grove cut into both head and block? Does it have studs? The head probably needed a retorque.
