Default leaking fule? noob question

I have had my 02 for a week now and it is running great, thins weekend I had my first real cold start -1F, I let it idle for a little while, it was smoking white smoke heavy, the smoke went away when driving, but when I got back I saw fule in the snow it made a H patteren at where the front of the motor would have been? I have a goop picture but I think I am too new to attach it.

Where the fuel lands can be deceiving, as things like the oil pan lip can carry it do a different spot then where the leak is coming from. It is better to pop the hood and find the source, if you can.
I had a fuel leak on my '01 where it was really cold, right after I started it. It was coming from the fuel filter housing, more specifically leaking past the o-ring on the cap. Once it warmed up a little it stopped, and hasn't happened since. A service is almost due on mine, so the filter and o-ring will be changed them.
That may not be the same situations as yours, but it is something to look at. You could also check the tightness of your low pressure fuel lines. Be careful with these. They do not need to be super tight, and the banjo bolts are rather weak.

Thanks, I think I got the picture to attach, I will check the o ring, it almost looks like there is some spray under where the filter is?

If you have a stock, block mounted lift pump, it is in that area. Could be a loose fitting. Just loose enough to leak when the fuel is cold and thick, but not so much under normal, warmer, operating conditions.
