No. There is a little brass elbow orfice thats called a boost elbow. It goes on the bottom side of your turbo on the wg line if u have the hx35

you dont gotta buy nothing.. if you have an HX35 so 94-2000 cummins auto or manual you will have this. remove air intake tube off turbo. right below on the bottom of the housing there is a little elbow with a rubber hose coming off going to your waste gate. take hose off the elbow by removing the crimp style clamp, fold the hose squeeze it off and zip tie it. put it back on and the waste gate will not have boost which allows the turbo to build more. hope you have a boost guage or i wouldnt be doing this because you dont wanna see anything over 35psi. then you run the risk of blowing up your stock turbo. you should also put your truck and mods in your signature so its easier for people to help you so they know what you have

It's just a map sensor fooler, won't increase boost on its own. Paired with a boost elbow, it prevents engine codes, may or may not affect fuel rates. Always been a little uncertain about that. Should be a 3 wire sensor ontop of your intake, usually behind the intake horn, just plugs in between the sensor and harness.

Cummins girl, its on the driver side of the block next to the fuel filter and housing if you still have the factory fuel filter.. just a sensor plugged righ into the side of the block it think by cylinder 4 or 5.
