more boost...
Is there a way to turn up the boost on my rig? i know on the old 7.3's you can screw in the valve to gain more boost, im not sure if its the same on my cummins. its runnin a max of 20psi now

if u have the hx35 u can get a boost elbow. there like 30 bucks
|
your talkin about the intake elbow?
|
No. There is a little brass elbow orfice thats called a boost elbow. It goes on the bottom side of your turbo on the wg line if u have the hx35
|
you dont gotta buy nothing.. if you have an HX35 so 94-2000 cummins auto or manual you will have this. remove air intake tube off turbo. right below on the bottom of the housing there is a little elbow with a rubber hose coming off going to your waste gate. take hose off the elbow by removing the crimp style clamp, fold the hose squeeze it off and zip tie it. put it back on and the waste gate will not have boost which allows the turbo to build more. hope you have a boost guage or i wouldnt be doing this because you dont wanna see anything over 35psi. then you run the risk of blowing up your stock turbo. you should also put your truck and mods in your signature so its easier for people to help you so they know what you have :tu:

Yea that works to. I just said boost elbow cuz its a little safer

ok thanks. Ill play with it this afternoon. i do have a boost gauge its a auto light pro comp ultra light. seems to work good. im new to this site but ill work on getting my info on here... thanks for the tips
