Has anyone put lights behind the grill? If so what do you think about the function. I am thinking I dont want to clutter up the front end but at the same time I want more lighting.

I am soon to installing smoked cab roof lights for appearance purposes.

I am not a fan of lights behind the grill. Not that they that big, but they will cause less airflow across the coolers. I prefer to have my boost as cool as possible.

I like that look too. The problem with our trucks though is that the grille lifts with the hood so any light would have to be lightweight and thin. Plus cutting your grille to make them look right. How much did you want to spend?

Im not looking to cut the grill, but thats an idea. As far as air flow goes how would hem being behind the grill be any different than on the bumper or a bar? I am thinking of some that dont mount to the grill.... But who knows might just grab a really cheap set and see how it goes.

I've seen it done on a 99 halfton but I think the intercooler in our trucks gets in the way if you can find lights slim enough to fit I think it would look cool

Do you have any pictures of it? I am interested, but like previously said the intercooler is taking up alot of the space that a 1500 has.
